My name is Bill, but some call me Billy....your choice!!
I come from the O.C. in sunny southern California! To be more exact, I live in Yorba Linda (birthplace of Richard Nixon
). Im 28 years old and love marine life! I have been playing around with freshwater fish since I was a little kid. I really started getting into it about a few yours ago. Then I outgrew my 30 gallon freshwater tank and started my journey into saltwater last year. It was very difficult to say the least, but I somehow managed to pull it off.
My setup is as follows: I have a 30 gallon tank which houses roughly 15 pounds of live sand, about 30 pounds of live tonga rock, one percula clown fish, one green chromie, and one damsel. Starting next week I will go to my LFS and start picking out coral for my reef tank. They have an awesome deal for starters which is basically any 9 corals, from a selection of about 10 different reef tanks, for $199. I will try to let everyone know what I select or any advice is greatly appreciated! As far as equipment goes, I have a Fluval 204 in which I only use carbon filtration, a jebo heater, a seaclone 100 protein skimmer, and a JBJ 24" power compact lighting system. So far this setup has proven to be cost effective and very successful!
So thats me in a nutshell. I look forward to future posts and conversations with you all!!
