Weird Spots On Peral Gourami

i have a pearl gourami.Yesterday , I realised he has a flesh spot, I thought id get to the bottom of this.Is it External Parasites. Ive removed him from my aquarium and added some a quarum salt. .What is the spot? How can I treat it?

I think it looks as if he has lost some scales (from what I can see, I may be corrected), I don't know the reason for this, it could be that he just bashed himself accidentally. I think API's 'Melafix' speeds up the healing of wounds, you could try that.

looks very much like scales missing... if it were me, i'd put him back in the tank and see if he is being bullied at all?

Yeah, with the clearer pics it looks like it just got banged up on something... maybe rocks?
