:D We have three baby guppies they are about 6days old now and I didnt say anything before incase we lost them! So far they are doing well feeding on shrimps and things and have all thus far survived! We currently have them in a baby saver and all seems well!

As you all no not had fish for more than a couple of weeks and so ive no idea how long or how quick that they grow! how long will they be okay in the baby saver and how long before they should be okay in the main tank!

I just know your going to say they take forever to grow right?

I so hate not having a clue about these sort of things but I think im learning  :hey:

 :fun: :S Just been looking at two of the other female guppies and erm they are starting to look rather square aswell :hey: Me thinks the other couple of baby savers may need to come into play soon! We missed these ones being born so not sure how many there were in total :-( we only went to the lfs for an hour and when we came back we saw them

Well first of all congrats on the fry
As for them growing up, lets just say be patient :p To reach sexual maturity it takes around 4-5months and with me after one month I started seeing colours in the fry. When the fry are atleast an inch or can't fit in the mouths of any other fish in your tank then you can add them back in. I have fry that are over 2 months old and still haven't introduced them yet, it's better to be safe then sorry. I will prob wait till they're 3 months just to be safe before adding them back to the main tank. The breeding trap you have them will be ok for about a month, after that maybe moving them to say a one gallon bowl or even better a 5g tank will speed up the growing process.
I find the babies can be quite hardy if you feed them regularly(3-4x a day as newborns then less as they grow up), give them warmth and a nice clean environment.
Hope they do well :D

Congratulations, Fishface!

As of today, we're the proud new parents of 4 baby guppies as well!
We came home from work this evening and found them. We are new to guppy breeding also, but we've been having so much fun learning and watching her grow... :p

Snowyangel, thank you so much for your advice and comments. As we said earlier, we're new to raising fry, and the information you've provided to other members is out of this world. You're proven yourself to be quite the guppy mommy! :D
