Ok, one of my minnows died this week after spending a few weeks not really eating and letting himself shrink to death basically. When I fed the fish, he'd go for the food to take a bite, but didn't seem to grab any.
Now that he's gone, I notice another one is doing it. He sees the food, takes a bite but gets nothing out of it. Or he'll grab a flake and then let it go. He's been hanging alone at the bottom these past 24 hours.
Water params are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 5 nitrate. Temp is 24C and PH around 7.2.
The other minnows all seem fine as well as the 4 oto's. Any help would be much appreciated!
Edit: I think I have only 2 females in there, so could it be the dominated males who are getting depressed?
