I recently purchased a betta for my 30L biOrb but had to remove it as it was harassing the other fish.
Some people have suggested that I ditch the other fish (neons) in favour of the betta.
Now that the betta is in a bowl of its own, I have noticed that it is less neurotic in behaviour than when it was in the biOrb. It now drifts along quite gracefully, whereas in the biOrb it was swimming like crazy up and down, back and forth, and all over the tank.
Since the biOrb has a filtration system that bubbles up in the centre, there is alot of disturbance to the water surface. I am now wondering if the aggressive behaviour of the betta was aggravated because it felt uncomfortable in a tank with fast water surface currents. I am not sure if the betta will be happy living inside the biOrb.
I was just wondering what sort of fish like/don't like water surface currants?
