Hi all

We have very hard water in our area where we live and around the tops of the fish tanks the glass looks dirty almost like a build up of some sort assuming from the water?

How can I remove this?

it looks like limescale and doesn’t go away I’d you just wash it away....

Its rather annoying when your tank looks fine and the water looks good but there’s this smeary milky white residue around the top near the waterline.....

vinegar to remove
if you have snails they like to chew on it for calcium.

what are your fish
I agree. Some fish need hard water, some need soft water. If you have hard water fish, that's what they need and it should not be softened. But if you have soft water fish, it does need to be softened.

try not to get the vinegar into tank when you are cleansing, it will lower ph dramatically
