Morning, I have a 5gallon tank with 6 black skirt tetras and the local shop analysed the ph at 8.5 and suggested 'Ph Proper' to stabilise the ph to a more acceptable level for the fish. I followed instruction and the water has a haze in it which has been like this for 2 days and now into day 3. It does say that there will be a possibility of water haze in the tank but that the filter should assist in the removal of same. I am a bit concerned that perhaps I should be doing a partial water change but if I do so am I not defeating the purpose of the PH balancer? Will the water clear in its own time?

I do have 5 plants within the tank which are showing brown algae on the leaves which I have read should not be regarded as much of a problem, mere cosemtics?

Any advice would be appreciated. (first time and prob not last time on this site!)

Thanks.

U should try this question in Tropical Emergencies they'll be able to help by the if you've got brown algae you need more light in your tank. U could try a Carbon Filter
