Water From Watersofteners

Hello again,
maybe someone today can help me. I have a watersoftener and need to know if it will harm my fish if I draw the water for waterchanges from my tap that is connected to the watersoftener. Usually I get water from outside that is not connected to the watersoftener. But winter is on its way and it will be impossible to do this soon as it always freezes up. This is my first winter owning fish and just don't know what to do.

Any answers Please.

I believe it is not advised as it puts some minerals into the water that harms the fish.

Have a google on it...
