got 2 blak plastic builders bucket ( both clean and un used ) but was told the plastic is toxic to the fish is this true?

The plastic is not - however, whatever was previously stored in the containers may be.
The buckets may be "clean," but what did you use to clean them?

i use plastic buckets every time i do a water change there not toxic and ive never had any troubles :)

As do I. It wouldn't be the plastic that would cause the problems.

I also use plastic builders buckets, NEW. Rinsed them with hot water and have had no problems so far.

youll never guess! I use them too

i use new buckets as well. so long as you rinse them out to get any dust the may have collected from the store you should be fine.
