I double checked my settings and I'm set to receive notifications for everything. Found it odd.

I aked because I never get emails, no idea why, I have this option definitely selected. I do however see Alerts if I click on the button. Someone else (perhaps a mod) can confirm, but I believe members can somehow remove other members from seeing updates in their thread.
