Want to get tank...

ok, not right now...but in a few months or years I want to get a saltwater tank

I would like to know what kind of things are necessary to set up the tank (chemicals...how much salt to add...hardware...etc)

and what kind of fish would be good beginner fish...

How big of a tank are you planning on?
Do you want corals?
Do you just want a FOWLR setup?
How much cash do you plan on spending?

But they're new so they don't know. The first time I came on I didn't even notice that there were pinned topics. They are good though.

I do believe that some people do read those and still wont understand the basics and will understand better with one on one help. So jeef just ask away and I will help you as best as I can and if I'm not sure of the right answer I will ask my friend at the LFS

yeah, Its too early for that..IMO,you should get a couple
of books on marine aquariums,then decide if you truly want
to set one up,then ask away and you will get all the help you need.
