Visi-lux Flourescent Lighting Ballast Getting Hot

Hi,

Does anyone have a visi-lux dual tube T8 lighting system? If so how hot does the controller get? Mine seems to be getting very hot, I mean can't touch it for long hot, is this right. Admittedly I am running 18W tubes and the unit is for 25W tubes.

Any advise would be gratefully recieved.

Presumably its a "magnetic" ballast... ie, it also has a "starter" ? If so, its perfectly normal... they loose a hell of a lot of energy through heat !
