Not be a jerk or say your tank isn't right, but the plec would love a dark cave to hide in. In the wild, they live at the bottom of muddy rivers hiding under logs and rocky outcrops. If it's their choice, I believe they never wish to see the light of day. I've noticed mine usually stays under a big piece of bogwood unless it gets hungry.


Word of advice too... looks like a common plec... will grow much bigger than that tank can support so just plan for that in the future
