First let me ask if anyone has ever heard of someone putting crayfish into an aquarium. Second, Do you think that it could survive with my two female convicts? Third, crayfish do live in fresh water right?

Thanks again everyone, Chris.

Yes they live in freshwater, and I wouldnt put them in with the cons because when it molts, the cons will kill it.

They shed their outer "shell" because their insides have grown too big for that outer skeleton. All crabs/lobsters/crays/shrimp do it. A new outer covering will grow in again which is bigger and more roomy for them but it takes a little bit of time so thats why kribensis said the cons would kill it because it is vulnerable in state inbetween.

Plus, i just dont like crays or lobsters in with fish period. These animals eat fish and can cause serious damage to the fins and body of the fish if not kill them all together.

Okay thanks, i already lost intrest in this, but again thanks 4 the info

Chris

Yes They're much better with potatoes and corn!

Yummy!

LOL, yea well i just kinda like the way they swim (they swim like shrimp right?) and thought it would be a cool addition to an aquarium, but when thought of it causing harm to my Cons, i lost all interest.
