lol thats easy! Feed it then see how long it takes to digest the fly or whet ever you put in it. Once it opens back up again wait a few days and drop in another one. I had a venus fly trap for a while but it didn't fare too well in the winter becuase the house was ither too warm or too cold. If you don't have any insects around your house, you can feed it a small pice of bologna or hamburger meat. Not too much becuase its too much fat and AA for it to handle and it will die.
