;) So I'm doing this for the first time with some P. Elongatus today, and was wandering about your experiences with this, any problems you ran into I'm very nervous about so anything you can tell me that I'm not gonna read about on the internet is of great help!

sorry if this is too late. the best thing is to watch how you hold the fish. it will not take too kindly to be flipped over. hold it firmly but gently. also a magnifying glass helps. depending on the fish the vents can be small. try to hold the fish over the water so if it does get away from you it lands in water. also make sure your hands stay wet at all times.

instead of venting, i put my female alone in a 10 gallon tank....let her spit them out when she is ready......if the fish is small enough, you could probably get away with a small 5 gallon tank...

:)

Thanks it isn't too late was gonna do it that day but couldn't catch any so i'm not feeding them today in hopes of makeing them easier to catch to vent tomorrow
