I've always used Vallis as a background curtain in all my setups and they grew well, making up to 3 new plants in a week....
Subsequently, I gave up fish completely and got rid of everything fish related I had. When I restarted, (some 6 months later)..... Vallisneria was not available in South Africa for many, many years.
Recently, I found some at a pet shop & bought everything they had.... (5 - single plants)...... I currently have them in a tank with incandecent lightbulbs... (60W) and they look fantastic, (leaves reaching surface in a 15" high) but they are not producing any runners..... How can I induce them to reproduce???
