What is the best way to vacuum gravel the bottom of my aquarium that is heavily planted without uprooting plants?

My gravel vac is pretty big and cant realley get inbetween the plants. Should I use some thin tubing instead.

I don't have gravel. But when I did, I didn't have life plants, I had fake ones. So I can't give you any first hand experience here.

But, I have sand. I just use the little tubing from the siphon itself, because I find it to be more accurate for cleaning between plants. I would say look for a smaller siphon. PetCo/PetSmart usually sells them.
