I have been left with a lot of goldfish food now I have put my comet and shub in a pond.

Can I give the goldfish flakes to the pond owner? Understandably, they're not the same as pond sticks, but surely they can still be used in a pond (albeit less affective).

The food is the same at the end of the day.

I found my goldies in my pond ignored the flakes as they tend to sink quite quickly, best to go with a floating pellet type food

My goldies love flake

They sink quickly due to the flow but they get eaten on the way down in my experience.

If fed little and often they will be ok,
with ponds however people tend to chuck far too much food in and most goes to waste,
