Im thinking of adding bogwood to my 125l tank, ive boiled it and has bin soaking for 2 weeks now with daily water changes but am undecided wether to but it in after reading various forums, some for some against, could u help me decide by explaining some advantages and disadvantages on using bogwood, thanks!

i love my bogwood
and if your planning to have plecos then they will need the bog wood.
i think it gives your tank more of a natural look and it gives your fishes hiding places too
my corys and shrimp love it and they clean it up well for me.

so im a yes :hyper:

Bogwood may lower pH so if you're keeping african lake cichlids, probably not the best thing! So what fish do you intend on keeping?

if your gonna add it and you want clear water, you may want to add some carbon to your filter as it may still release tannins (which are harmless to the fish BTW).

Also, tannins are even known to promote health in fish and many natural environments for fish have tannin rich water
