hey guys, well i've been treating my tank for ich. I started with 1 Chinese golden algae eater, 3 cherry barbs, 4 neons, 4 hatchets in my 29 gal. Now i'm down to 1 algae eater, 3 neons and 4 hatchets, one of my neons is acting weird. my heater doesn't adjust at all so i haven't been able to raise the heat up. I've been using quick cure and aquarium salt to help with my ich. I stopped using quick cure so i could put my carbon filter back in because i thought that could be a factor of why my fish where suddenly dieing. I tested the water levels Ph is 7.6 which is pretty normal for my tank, I have alot of oxygen going into my tank from my penguin 200 and my bubble wall. my neons are breathing really really fast so i am afraid that something could be up with them along with that, My Chinese algae eater hasn't been very active, he's been hiding inside of his rock formation and seems to be very skiddish, before he was out and about alot and wasn't afraid of me. I've noticed my neons go to the top of the tank quite abit so i thought that it could be a problem with the air flow. well if you have any ideas please post them. Naturally I My Plans come back to hurt me I had bought live plants to put in my tank washed them down good and then put them in. then a few days later the ich showed up and all this started. I'm hoping i don't have to restock my tank after this incident. I did a water change last night but i didn't add any more salt because i was worried about my fish. i've been using the suggested 15 drops of ich per tank daily for 3 days and then take out 25%, i've also been using the 1 Tbsp per 5gal.
thanks

Can't use salt with neon tetra's they don't tolerate it to well.
Also with some of the fish you have you should be half dosing.
Dilute the med down with a water change.

It will take longer to get rid of whitespot as you haven't raised the temp to 30.

I would go out and buy another heater that will reach the 30 temp.

Going to the top means there not handling the med, lack of 02, or the parasite has invaded the gills if there laboured breathing or gasping.

I would dilute the med down with a water change, as it sounds like the fish are not tolerating the full dose.
