Hi, I'm in a bit of a panic as I don't know what to do.
Late last night my female platy was getting harressed by the male platy and a male guppy. On closer inspection she looked squared off so I got my breeding trap out, put my breeding net around it to catch any escaping babies during the night and turned out the lights.
I've got up this morning and set her free but I then found one of my new (still very young) peppered cories tangled up in the net. It obviously been trying to get free as it's fins are red and sore (tail and side fins). I thought it was dead so netted it into a jug but then found it moving. It's now back in the tank. It's just layed on it's side but then it tries to right itself and move. I really don't know what to do. Is it just exhausted from trying to get free? will it recover if I leave it alone or is it best to re-net it out and get the clove oil out?
After all that the irony is ... the platy didn't have any babies after all so I've potentially killed one of my young cories for nothing
So upset
