Urchin Id Please

ok here a pic i have found and its the same as a hitch hikker urchin i found in my refugium. http/www.oeb.harvard.edu/palumbi/images/...AGES/urchin.gif altho mine has white tips on its spines other than that its the same.

will it be ok if i move it up to my main reef tank?

would love to know the name of it aswell if any of you guys know

Dunno the name of it. It would probably be OK to move up, but beware the perils of urchins in your display. Given enough time, they will create rock slides, and they may eat all your algae, including coraline. Urchins aren't up my alley for any small or moderately sized tanks under say 120 gallons.

humm i think i will just leave him in my refugium then. wont eat cheatomorpa and calerpa will he

Yeah he'll prolly leave them alone . Might wanna toss him an algae pellet a couple times a week
