The time has come to replace the light bar in my old Rena. I’m not sure what model the tank is, photo attached if anyone recognises it.

I don’t trust the old light bar anymore so I’m looking to completely replace the entire lighting system. I can’t find a direct replacement anywhere, so I’m going to need to retrofit something new. I’m open to fluorescents and LEDs. Must allow the tank lid to close as I have cats. Money is a consideration: I can afford maybe max £100 on the entire setup, but cheaper preferred. Also an ‘all in one’ unit preferred. I know myself - if I have to pull parts from all over for a DIY job, it’ll take me a decade to sort it!

The tank is stocked with synos, bumblebee cats and congo tetra. I plan to grow plants (currently using silks) but nothing fancy, just some nitrate munching easy growers.

Any recommendations?
