afternoon all, i have a 65l tank with a 350 lph internal filter. my fish are largely tetra's of varying sub species, with a bristlenose and a couple of dwarf cichlids.
i have been offered a well priced eheim 2048, now this filter has a flow rate of 600 lph. would this be to much flow for my tank/fish or is it adjustable?

Ta :good:

I am still new to this forum, but I thought I read someone post that turning over your tank water 5 times per hour would be sufficient. So it kind of sounds like your 350lph one would be okay.

Give it a whirl, maybe pack it tighter with floss to reduce the flow if need be? I am running a EX1200 on a 125L without any issues which is rated at 1200lph but it might be overly rated...

Does the filter have flow controls on it? i.e. some sort of values on the in and out pipes?

thanks guys, gonna buy it and try it. its well priced so i will be able to sell on if not suitable :good:
