I had bought four Red-Clawed Crabs this Sunday at a Petsmart(mistake #1). There were three females and one male. That night, one of the females molted quickly(which is good). A few day later, I found the male still and upside down with his "key" open. I thought he may be molting, so I left him alone. A few days later, he was smelling up the tank and was getting fuzzy so I took him out of the tank(he must have been sick from the store, because all of the females are well and active). But anyway, getting to the point: I cleaned out the tank today after removing the male, so I sat down to closely watch my three crabs for a while, when I noticed one kept opening and closing her "apron". There was red, dirt-looking stuff inside, and she kept picking at it and eating little bits from it. I noticed none of the others were doing this. I then did some research and learned that she was carrying eggs! She must have had them from the store, but I do not want any more crabs! What do I do? (P.S. Sorry for probably unnecessary detail, I just wanted to recall all of the events which happened after I got my crabs. Also, it is my first time owing RCCs, though I did have a fiddler crab at one point, and the two are very similar. The fiddler was male and lived to an old, healthy age. ) Thank you for reading, please help!

Congratulations! Although I know they are unwanted.... I would wait first to see if anything comes from it; maybe the eggs do not hatch. And if they do hatch, make the best of it and sell them. Or find a fish that likes the extra protein provided by the young crabs.

Thank you for the reply! It gave me some ideas :D However, how would I be able to sell them (to who?)
