Unknown Tropical Fish

can anyone tell me what is the name of this fish shown below ??

i owned that fish when i was at malaysia,,,

but now i cant find it anymore..

thats the best pic i could get, its plain silver and its kinda tough one ..

thats why i liked the fish,, it was kinda cheap ,,

its more or less look like the silver shark, but with no colors..

only silver.

Its a Cyprinid for sure. However, there are dozens of fish that look like yours. How big is it?
A few better photos really would help.

its around 15 cm

thats the best i could get, in fact its been a long time and this is the only pic i have,,

i guess ya its Cyprinid as i surved the web,,

as I can't see the fins properly and you say that it is plain silver with no colouration on the fins
I'm thinking it could be a asp Aspius aspius aspius which will reach 100cm and is a coldwater fish (4-20c)
but without a clearer picture I can't say with any certainty.
