My female fighting fish went funny over a week ago due to ammonia poisoning, I solved this and quite quickly they came back to me, one however is still unwell and i suspect whilst its defenses were down its got something or the poisonings had some sort of permenant effect.

the other fish are happy swimming around the main tank again, but this one fighting fish is still really lathargic, doesnt eat, kinda just floats in the corner a bit to one side. Also ive noticed that her poo is kinda white/see through and bloby. I cant see any external marks or spots. When she wants to she can swim normally but otherwise she just likes to float there.

At the moment Ive got her by her self in a small 15ltr hospital tank with some methylene blue in the water. Shes been in there 4/5 days now and no improvement. Any advice or anything i can look for?

oh and part of her fin has a bit of a nip out of it, but its possible one of the other females nip'd her??

with the poo as it is it sounds like an internal bacterial infection. i think interpet no9 is for this illness, ive used it in the past with good effects but try to be 100% sure this is the problem before treating any meds :good:

good luck.

Is she bloated? Constipation can cause mucousy poo and swimbladder issues. Since she's not eating you can't rely on peas in this instance. Meth blue is great for fungal issues. Id try some epsom salt with her if she's bloated. 1 tablespoon per. 5gal if using in the. Tank or 1 teaspoon per gal if using as a dip up to 30 mins 2x a day.
is it possible to put up a pic?
all the best
cheers
