A photo of the "nip" would help...it certainly was not another cory, it is pretty difficult to do any biting or nipping when you don't have teeth, and cories do not.

they are very fast and energetic, hard to get photo unless they sleep LOL
guppies? very likely, they are fast and small mouth
swordtails? unlikely, they are too big
plants? sorta likely but still not likely
