Hi guys. Is it possible to run a 3x24w luminaire with 2x daylight and one night tube, but all three are on at the same time. I am looking to purchase a 6x24w luminaire (too good price to ignore) with the intention of running 3x 24w with night bulbs and other 3 as mentioned above they have independent switches (ie front 3 tubes on one switch, and 3 on the other) . Does this make the lighting too high? I hope this makes sense

Tank specs 28g. High tech, co2 plus Dosing EI method

Yes, that is way too much, a single T5 tube would be sufficient for a high tech planted tank.

6 x 24W is a fail even for the super advanced.

Over a 28 then 1 x 24W or 2 x 24W would be better.

By nightlights what do you mean. If a blue T5HO it is still T5HO, not nightlight.

Nightlights are very low power that allow you to view without ever increasing the actual light with any effect.

If you use a T5HO then it will mean you are running the photoperiod for 24 hours and then even more algae.

I have nightlights on for 115 hours and main lights the other 9 but my nightlights are quite simply low voltage viewing lights
