So here is Turk, another month or so on from the last update. Each month i'm more amazed at how quick they grow and how much their patterns change.

The day of purchase whenever it was. Since found out this was 20/10/12

And last but not least the tank he's currently in. Its was my first ever tank, Rio 180. Unfortunately i made mistakes with algae cleaning at some point and sratched it to f**k, to put it bluntly. So excuse the scratches in the glass, also the bittyness of the water. I'd just done a rescape haha, so all the poo got stirred up :hey:

The tanks occupants are just Turk the 4" Oscar and a juvi 2" Orange Spot Plec. I know the tanks a little on the small size for an Oscar, this ISNT his permenant home. He'll be in the 63gallon once i get my 6x2x2 set up :good: OK

As you can see i'm great with my time keeping of how long i've had this fish. If i could dig out my first post on him then i'd be able to find out, but thats too much effort. Certainly on Boxing Day anyway.

He sure is looking good, and fat!!

Yes, i've fed him twice today a good healthy supply of cichlid pellets. Each one taken (not bitten) from between my fingers. Then as soon as the gf came home from work she was straight over to the tank and fed him more. He's been fed up today for sure!

I love his white tip to his fins, its really come out strong now :)

Figured out how long i've had him. Just over 2 months! I bought him on October 21st. Blimey they do grow quick! Haha

Rusty has that same white banding on the dorsal and tail fin, its really striking. I hope he keeps it. Chops doesnt have it, but he is getting more white on his belly. Turk is sure going to be a stunner.

Lol your in the states arent you? Well unfortunately for you i won't ever be getting rid of Turk. He's like my male Jack, hes a lifer with me. I won't part with him, till life parts from him.

I can't quite believe my luck with him. When i bought him he was the last one left in the tank, besides one VERY unhealthy oscar with white fungus down his gills and was swimming practically flat on the bottom. Then there was this lil fella nudging around him. Once i set eyes on him that was it, his juvi colouring caught my eye :p

I think my first post with him said something like "Best mistake ever made". He really is :) Can't wait for him to mature, and yes Lesley i sincerely hope he keeps his white tip banding. Reminds me of a GT's fin tip colouring. Very striking and elegant.

coming along nicely , love the red patterning on his sides . freakin insane how quick they grow aint it .
