Trying to find

I have been away from this hobby for awhile, at one time I had a plant that was a floating plant, no roots to be seen. It was more like a vine and grew very well, you could cut it just about anywhere and transplant it by just dropping it in another tank, very small leaves with a bit of a vine in between each clump of leaves. Made very good coverage for live babies that you didn't catch.

Would anyone have a guess as to what I had. Thanks in advance for your help

hornwort? Probably not, but hard to say without any kind of picture... Can you draw something that looks like it on paper and post the picture so we can guess better?
