Totally Heart Broken :(

I have a male green sunfish, about 4 inches and growing, his name is tiny tim. I have him with two convict cichlids and two pictis catfish.
He randomly started getting wicked aggressive. IDK what his problem is. I went to feed them last night and noticed Jimmy and Jeffrey were both out (my two catfish) and I was like awh my boys! So I went over and literally started crying uncontrollably. Ugh. Im pretty sure it was tiny tim, but part of his gill on the right side is ripped off (just the outside thankfully not the plate) and his right eye is totally missing. I was a wreck last night. IDK what to Do with tiny tim.
But I got Jeffrey out and into a hospital tank he seems to be doing well so far. He's eating and fairly active, which is wonderful.
Should I move my other catfish as well? How do I catch him? I tried a net with Jeffrey and nobody told me not to use one... My dad had to cut the net off his fin his fin is okay though.
Please help. I love all of my fishies and would love to keep tiny tim.

Sunfish are not very good in tanks... they are extremely territorial.  So, it might be that you'll have to separate it from the others.

How big is this tank? Like Eagle said, sunfish are territorial.

As of right now, he's in a 29. I plan on getting a larger one I just have no where to put it
I'd love to put him outside in a pond or something but I'm worried something will eat him

I am afraid you are going to have more problems with this combination of fish in a (relatively) small tank.  I agree the sunfish must be elsewhere.  The pair of convict cichlids will own this tank easily, and should really have more space for just themselves.  And Pictus catfish will be better in a 4-foot tank, soon.
