Too Many Fry

As a beginner, I bought three platys, two female and one male. Unsurprisingly they had babies. I took the two females back to the shop. I am now left with about 20 fry in a separate tank I set up.
1.How do you get rid of the fry, I mean how do you give them away? Shop I bought parents from in only small and does not want babies.
2. At about what age/size are they ready to go. They're about 2 weeks and 3 weeks only now.

I only have male guppies, neons, glowlights and 1 male platy now in main tank. Adding them slowly after cycling.

if u do'nt want them maybe either sell them on ebay or post this in the buy sell or swap section. i am sure someone going to be interested.i would but i am stocked with guppie fy.

Funny you should say that!
Devious minds think alike (lol) my daughter is just starting a tank. Unfortunately she read up on the platys first, but she is taking two males when I can tell the difference.

so glad that I am not alone! I was told that 2 female and a male platy were a good combo by my LFS (complete novice) and sure enough had fry within 10 days, thankfully wasnt lumbered with 20 got three that I saved and transfered to a breeder trap, then a week later the same female had 6 more but only 2 made it, so now I have 5 fry in a floating trap and they are growing fast. My paln of action is to set up a fry tank, take the male back to the shop and then keep the fry until they are old enough for me to sex them and take them back to LFS. I am going to keep doing this untill the two females have stopped giving birth hopefully in a few months time and then have just an all female tank!

what do you reckon, think it will work or should I just stop now take them all back and get a bloody hamster!
