Okay, so I've done some research and found that spiny eels such as Tire Tracks are brackish and freshwater fish, I'm curious to know, can you accumulate them over a period of time to full saltwater?

Tire Tracks are freshwater and need a big tank!
Matt

I'm aware they need a big tank... However Tire Track eels are Spiny eels right? and Spiny eels are brackish water... therefore Tire Track eels should be brackish water and thus able to be eventualy accumulated to saltwater right?

I think they might be okay, but their lifespan would probably be shorter. It'd probably be better to just get a saltwater eel. There's lots of cool looking ones.

Probably not. They are not eels in the truest sence of the word, and the do not exist in full salt water in the wild. There are more colorful and active eels and eel like fish for marine tanks than tire tracks, ones that will have better immune systems as well.

Yeh marine eels look much nicer than tire tracks.

Matt

Alright, thanks much :D won't be getting one then :good:
