Well everything was going fine with my community tank until now.
I have 2 medium angel fish, four american flag fish, 3 penguin tetras and a male betta.
Everything was great with them even though people said they wouldnt be.
Now, however, the angelfish have laid eggs!!!!!!
And they are becoming super protective and are going for my betta rather badly. The other fish have the sense to keep out the way. But the have laid on the filter and that is where my betta like to spend most of his time.
Only just noticed it now and all shops are closed :(

Tomorrow morning i am off to get a small tank an equipment to keep my betta in.
What is the the minimum but suitable (rather short of cash at the min) for a male betta to be kept in.
If anyone has some experience of angelfish breed would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatly not!!

Thinking about creating a divider, any tips?

Only can think of a peice of plastic.

Do you have any large tupperware bowls, ice cream containers, plastic pitchers, etc. that you could move the betta into until you can obtain something more suitable? If the Angel fish are going after the guy, the sooner you can move him, the better. I keep a one gallon ice cream bucket around "just in case" I have an emergency. Can't see the fish in it, but for a temporary home, it works.
