After returning from a 2 week holiday i fancied a change.

Here was it before:

The previous setup didn't really suit the fish i was keeping (Cichlids)

So i went out and brought the following:

1 x Black background
2 x 15KG of Play Sand
40KG of rock - Althought i've only used 25KG as it looks too much

Any ways here's the process:

Cleaning the Sand:

Filling the Tank:

Fish seem to like it & i think it looks alot better but i'll let you decied :)

Much better!!! but yes i agree get some more rocks in there. i think the jug is alright but not a huge fan of the other ornament off to the left.

looks much better. i'd put a couple more rocks in and maybe even a small piece of drift wood. could get away with some anubias in the tank also, i've seen people with cichlids use them and they seem to leave the plant alone. would make the tank look a bit fancier too lol

I love the sand, think it will look better when it's crystal clear, perhaps a higher stone to the right........
