Tiger Lotus Bulbs Haven't Sprouted

So I bought three red tiger lotus bulbs a week ago and they still haven't sprouted any leaves or stalks I'm a little dissapointed, because the site I ordered them from guaranteed 100% germination, and its been about a week and a half and still nothing. Is something i'm doing wrong? I have sand substrate, I use Flourish and Flourish Excel and and Marc Weiss Instant Amazon (for trace elements) and I have T8 lighting.

Well they are pretty fast growers. I trimmed mine back down to the bulb when i got it and saw new leaves sprouting within a few days. Have you got it sitting 1/3 out of the substrate?

whoops, that might have been the problem they didn't come with instructions to I naturally assumed they needed to be buried. Well, I've located them and stuck them 1/3 out of the substrate. And to my delight, one of them had indeed sprouted a tad thanks a lot

Yeah, im sure they'll take off now, I love tiger lotus plants, have you tried the green variety, they're very nice too
