Same fish, different colour form. They will breed together but there is no point crossing them. The offspring are not as nice as either parent.

There are a lot of fish where breeders have spotted mutations and 'created' forms that never appear in nature. Novelties sell very well, so they become quite common. There are other really nice tiger barb mutations out there too, although I'm one of those boring people who always prefers the natural fish.
It's really hard to sort out sometimes when we're new. When in doubt, look for the Latin name.
