there real..... horible inside, but real all the same. try looking at the big picture at Nordstrom and then click again to zoom in there is reflections and there complex because of the curve so they would be imposible to paint in. in fact now i try it, you can see reflections in all of them if you clickon them and then on zoom.


in conclusion I would love one of the tanks but with my own choise of contents ..ie. 2000gals 300 cardinal tetra in planted aquarium mmmmmmmm.

FYI guys, the pics are real and have not been touched up. Yes the coral in the pics are not real but the fish and so are the thick glass tanks. I really reall want one!

+ the fact that most of those tanks would be compleltly inaccessable for maintanence, people who have these types of tanks aren't bothered about the fish or welfare of, they would probably employ someone to do all the hardwork for them..

i think the tanks are amazing in size and design but i do hate the fake coral i thinke you could do better with natural but it would be too much work for the matinance crews.

The larger the reef tank the easier it is to maintain, especially if you stock lightly. You would have a water change system plumbed in (probably as auto top off) and use live rock as the main filtration, supplemented by either an algae system or skimmer (or both). Most of the work from then will be monitoring to ensure nothing goes out of whack. (Obviously in tanks this size you will have the other fancy gubbins such as a fuge for live food, a Calcium reactor and the other fancy bits).

It seems strange to me that this company builds all these tanks and not one is a reef...all just saltwater (and not even with live rock). Seems they are spending loads on the tank and then scrimping on the equipment.

I like a lot of the designs, but I prefer the natural approach.
