Hey they, been quite some time now since i last had a fish tank but I used to have a tank. But had one about 20 gal and plenty of shrimp, guppies, tetras etc. I recently saw a biube 35l and it looked pretty nice and was about the right size.

In my previous tank I used that really fine pea gravel as my substrate. Im not sure if that would work in the biube.

What sort fo filtatrion does the Biube use?

Would it be suitable for red cherry shrimp?

Thanks, james

most tanks would be suitable for shrimp imo

i would have a sand substrate for shrimp tanks

i think if you did it right a tank like that would look very nice

Thanks, What filtration system would I need to use if I were to go with sand. I tried sand before and it looked really dull. Does it look better with light. I think I tried it without a light.

Also, would it look natural with that realy bushy plant that grows in strands (cant remember what its called). Also thinking about putting some neon tetras in there. Possibly get some bogwood in there.

james

I wouldn't mind having about 20-30 cherry shimp, a couple of banana shrimp and some neon tetras.

I was thinking more along the lines of an internal filter that i just stick to the side?

you can get one to stick to the side, just make sure it can cope with the right amount of water

Does anyone know of an external canister filter pretty small for like 10-15 gal? I'd prefer one of those as you only have pipes in the tank not a big filter box.

You can get an Aquacube 40l complete with everything for half the price of a BiOrb. BiOrbs are monstrously overpriced for what you get.
