Hey guys and girls, :good:
This is my first post so hi to you all!!

Okay heres the deal..... I have a mixed tank and have two silver dollars which are cracking!!! I have had them since they were pretty small and they have grown pretty big now. There is still plenty of room in the tank for them but they seem to eat any plants i put in. I'm not good with plant names but they just rip through the common airator varieties and basically take any plants i put in apart in a few days.

My question to you all is
1. does this mean im not feeding them enough?
2. is there any plants that they wont eat?
3. What veg can i put in that wont go manky quickly and what veg will they eat?

Thanks for your help chaps and chapettes!!

C :p

You can't keep silver dollars with almost any plant (except maybe java ferns and java moss but some still eat them). They're herbivorous and will tear up any plant you put in there.

1. No
2. Java Ferns and Java Moss
3. Cucumber and Zuchinni (any type of squash really) are your two main options for veggies. They can be left in the tank for up to 12 hours without polluting the water too much.

Thanks very much for that. I will try to track down the plants that you suggest and hopefully that will help!!

Anybody else got any more ideas?
