Is there any practical difference (or indeed acuracy) in which thermometer you choose?

Theres a strip kind, a glass kind and digital ones.

Which would be the best to go for?

I have always used glass ithnik they are good. I have used strip before but i didnt think it was that good.

As with most products, you get what you pay for. The less expensive ones are generally less accurate. Even the digitals are off a couple degrees from each other. On the flip side, if it reads 78, then even if it's off 2 degrees plus or minus, it really isn't a problem for most fish.

i have a digital in my 5 foot tank as there was loads on the shelf but there was one with a old special offer sticker on for halfprice so i gotb it and its very good but i have a glass one in my nano but stick in outside on both aswell ust to be surev so all are preetty good but it also depends on glass thicknes a bit

Had a digital thermometer than was reading 9 degrees low!! Stick with the glass ones......old is sometimes best :good:

I go with the cheap $1 sticky ones . I just aim for between 78-80 degrees. I've never had a problem.

Sticky ones are a pain to get off though. I've never gotten one off in one whole piece.
