Ok, as some of you may know, I have a juvi male A. Agassizi.

He recently got moved to a temporary 20l tank (the oddbod tank) whilst I search for a new home for him.

So in this triangular 20l tank, there is 1 large water sprite cutting, filter, heater, and 4 shells, not much bigger than him.

This morning I figured i'd go check on him, see how he's settled in.

Couldn't find him anywhere. took out the filter, took out the filter, took out the plant, even took out every shell and looked inside them.

Nope. Nowhere.

Panic mode= Checked the floor around the tank to make sure he hasn't somehow jumped out. Nope not there.

Last chance attempt= grab some fish food and drop it into the tank.

Surely enough, a matter of seconds later he appears from one of the shells I had just put back in, for him to fit inside there he must be curling his body all the way around as i couldn't see him when I looked in.. Stupid fish!!

Seriously, he's about 1.5-2 inches in length, and this shell is between 2.5-3 inches in length, with a wide opening at front, so i could see a good inch in.. And he hid in there without me seeing him.

What. The. Hell. Fish.

Apistos can fit anywhere, I figured that out when I lost bruce once. Turned out he was hiding in a gap between the bogwood and the sand, that the khulis had made.

Ah well. least he's checking that your heart is working fine
