Now i am new to guppies, but i always thought, isnt it supposed to be the male that chases the females, not the other way round????

I got a new male guppy today, fantasic brightly coloured tail oe, he got into the tank, and my male swordtail played male dominace in the tank, though i dont see why, but my female golden guppy (oddball) started chasing the male around the tank, nipping his tail gently...

NOW WHATS GOING ON THERE!? i thought it was the other way round?

Not really, i have four females in the tank, and she get along with them all, if anything, she actually protect them, especially the young ones, but i have seen fish get aggrssive and this aint aggressive actions, this is like the girl is more flirty than the male for a change, maybe the males tail is that intaising to her...
