Hello Fish Forums,

Im returning to the hobby after many years and am very excited about doing so. I used to keep some large set ups and am now in a living position to do so again. I have a passion for new workd cichlids and fresh water rays. Ive recently set up a 200l tank as a temprary home to start a cichlid community as baby fish which will be moved up into much larger tanks.

Ill have a look around the forum and I look forward to getting to know you all and sharing my new cichlid jorney.

Thanks for having me.

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

If you keep any stingray (fresh or saltwater) make sure the water is kept clean. They suffer really badly from poor water quality and dirty tanks. The first sign or a problem is their belly goes pink or red, depending on how bad the water is.

Try to only have rays in the tank or maybe a few peaceful fish to reduce the bioload in the tank and reduce the risk of other fishes chewing on the rays.
