Hi Christo,

How many fish do you have? You may be overstocking? I've just bought 4 gouramis and they seem fine but i've heard they can become aggressive in smaller tanks (mine is 57 UK Gallons).

Also, how much water do you change once per week? I would say anything between 10% - 30% per week is probs about right.

:good:

I wouldn't add anything to the 10G. Dwarf Gourami are prone to the fatal Iridovirus and Swordtails can get to the best part of three inches eventually, that's large for a 10G. They need plenty of swimming space, as do the Zebra Danios.

zebra danios.... i wouldnt recommend them in anything smaller than a 20 gallon since when i had them the were crazy active

Now they are all dead from a cullomnarius (however you spell it) outbreak except one who hopefully wont catch it and i will be able to move him to a bigger tank. Poor guy....

You can put 1 male Dwarf Gourami in a 10g and even 2 females if you wish...but only 1 male because two may fight each other as they mature.

There is a really great thread called "Suggestions for a 10 Gallon" stickied in the "New to the Hobby" section. It has lots of good suggestions, and pictures of the fish.

Water changes every week are good for your fish! I do 20-40% water changes every 3-4 days and it does no harm what-so-ever.
