Hello! My residential area has recently lost power due to the weather. There is no estimate to when we will have power again and Iā€™m worried about my tank getting too cold. It was set at 73 degrees and is a 55gallon tank. Itā€™s currently -6 outside and getting cold inside quick. Anyone has any experience/idea how long it takes for the water to cool. Thanks!

If you have some polystyrene sheets, you can tape them to the back and sides. If you don't have any, then use blankets or towels and cover the tank with them. Make sure they aren't in contact with the water because they can drain the water out of the tank.

A 55 gallon tank should hold temperature for a few hours and longer if insulated.
