I tried to read this out to my girlfriend but couldn't stop laughing as I can completely identify to it all.
The girlfiend just said "hey, you and him would be great friends"

The best bit for me was "It sure felt like the stones collected were enough to build a whole city", I actually howled laughing. Glad to see I'm not the only one with a partner like this.
