Well, the tank will be done cycling within a day or two, so the decision time is upon me.... And I have NO idea what to do......
I have two briggs, one cana, and two marisas in the 20 gallon. Trying to get a few brigg babies, but I'm not holding my breath for them at this point, though I will wait a couple of weeks to see if the eggs hatch before I buy anything to put in the tank. The only other thing in the tank is a betta - a spur of the moment rescue. He loves it though, so it works out good.
With just the snails and the betta it's looking really bare. Yes, I know the snails have their own impact on the tank, but I clean the tank every day now, and will be cleaning three times a week once it finishes cycling. I did that for two years with the small tank, so I will be continuing to do it now.
I would love some snail friendly fish ideas. I love bottom dwellers. I'm thinking of moving my three kuhli loaches to the bigger tank, and maybe getting two more to make a larger school for them. (What I really want is a Raphael Catfish, but I don't dare because some subspecies eat mollusks and I don't want to risk the snails.) I'm not a huge fan of cory cats, and obviously the plecos are way too big for a 20.
So, well... can anyone help spur the creative process?
